This is the operating bible for Fingals Got Talent. It sets out how the competition is run: what happens, when, and who is responsible. Every member of the production team works from this document.
This is not a sales document or a pitch. It is an internal reference. It assumes you are part of the team and need to know how the show operates across all three nights.
The Head of Production maintains this document. When a decision is made or a process changes, the relevant section is updated and the version number raised. Always work from the current version. Propose changes to the Head of Production.
Version 2.0, July 2026. Rebranded from Balbriggans Got Talent, heats now run across two nights, Final date to be confirmed. Items still open are listed in Section 15, Outstanding Decisions, with an owner and a deadline against each.

Overall show, budget, sponsors, judges, running order, final call on everything.
Box office, ushers, raffle, seat cards, house open and out. Holds the paper-vote fallback slips.
Calls the show, owns the clock, wrangles cue sheets. Each heat night is 10 quick changeovers in under two hours; the clock is sacred.
Marshals acts in waves across both heat nights. Enforces the two-adult rule and the under-18 stream consent check before any act goes on.
FOH mix and stream audio feed. Line checks at top and tail. Lighting: simple per-act looks, judge desk state, vote-moment state. Projector: live feed from 4k cameras.
Links the show, holds the room, sells the next night and the stream pass from the stage.
Cuts the live feed to projector and stream on the Final, runs overlays and the voting QR lower third, opens and closes the vote from the desk, watches the live votes.

The Stage Manager calls every beat from the desk. The MC follows the SM, not the other way around. Judges are talent, not command.
The Vision Mixer opens and closes each vote on the SM's call, watches the tally, and confirms numbers to the MC.
The Act Wrangler is the enforcement point: minors accompanied at all times, two-adult rule, stream consent verified against the log before each under-18 act. Any concern goes to the Designated Liaison Person immediately.
If it is not on the cue sheet, it does not happen. Changes before doors go through the SM. After doors, nothing changes.

Same stream pipeline as Sunday Night at The Lark. Fingals Got Talent is its full-scale live test before the series goes on air. Anything that breaks, breaks here first.
| Heat Night One | No stream - live feed to projector - The Lark adverts shown at interval. |
| Heat Night Two | No stream - live feed to projector - The Lark adverts shown at interval. |
| The Final | Paid stream pass, €7 to €10, through the hub site. Sold to relations and anyone who cannot get a seat. The Lark adverts shown at interval. Remote viewers vote in the Final. |
| The hook | Their vote counts the same as the room. That is why they pay. |
| Voting page | Sub webpage on lark.ie. QR on every seat card and in the stream lower third. |
| Vote control | One cell in the Google Sheet, to be worked and ironed out. |
| Consent | No under-18 on the stream without guardian stream consent. |

Things go wrong at a three-night county show with twenty amateur acts. Every situation has an owner.
| Situation | What we do | Decides |
|---|---|---|
| Act pulls out before a heat night | Mark N/A in the call sheet. Remove from the voting page. Reserve offered the slot up to 48 hours out. | HoP |
| Act no-show on the night | Running order closes the gap, MC covers, no announcement of why. | SM |
| Voting system fails | Heat nights have no digital vote to fail - judges' paddles decide live regardless. Final: paper slips in the room, 400 pre-printed. | Vision/SM |
| Stream fails | Show continues for the room. Stream pass holders emailed a replay link or refund next morning. | Vision/HoP |
| Under-18 without stream consent | Pre-flagged by the Wrangler. | Wrangler/Vision |
| Parent withdraws consent | Acted on immediately, video deleted, act pulled from the order if it comes to that. | HoP |
| Sore loser dispute | Published rule: the producers' count is final. MC never announces margins, always a close competition. | HoP |
| Medical incident | Show holds on the SM's call. FOH leads first aid response. 999 without hesitation if in any doubt. | FOH/SM |

A money maker first. Conservative model at 300 seats per night across three nights, plus 150 paid stream passes for the Final. Bar revenue sits outside this model and is upside on top.
